Pink Petticoat Comp.

I'm not sure if I am doing this correctly? I am entering this in the Pink Petticoat Competition 'Pom-Pom' trees. These images are so cute I could play all night, but I am pooped & desperately in need of some shut-eye. Thought I might do something a bit more dramatic than usual - What do you think? Shocking pink!I had some fun with this one anyway,so whatever the outcome I am happy :)Shame I could'nt take very good pics. this evening, my hands are not too steady tonight. PP - O Christmas Tree Papers & Tiny Tags Sentiments used for this plus liquid pearls, a touch of glitter, pink wire & doodlebug ribbon for embellishing - OOOps almost forgot the trees from Tall & Skinny, pom-pom images (I think!) PP. Past posting tonight - really must get some sleep!

My 2 Girls X X

Leoni & Phoebe my two girls - both totally unique, but both take after mum! Leoni wants to be a fashion designer with her own label/fashion house! Phoebe is'nt quite sure yet... "erm.. maybe a video game designer or a job with animals!" Photo was taken on my younger sister's wedding day back in May of last year. (I think ?!) They look like double-trouble in this pic. "Attitude" & "Cheeky" spring to mind!

A Purrr-fect Christmas!

I just had to share this with you all.... I am so impressed with this effort from 'Longer- Legs' Leoni my daughter!

I was messing about with some clip-art & she asked if she could have one or two images that I had printed out, this is what she created - it is all her own work, some of her own original artwork included too!

She even put a sweet little message inside reading, "hope you have a purrr-fect Christmas."

It is also an early Christmas surprise, she wants her own blog! I promised I would post it for all to see....so here it is.... Bless! X

Birthday Card

This was a 'panic!' card in the sense that I panicked a lot & ran around like a headless chicken trying to think of and produce an idea for a birthday card for one of my daughters friends with not a lot of time available (about 20 mins to be exact!)

Big tip.....Try to avoid using glitter glue when time is short!

A bit rushed, but I don't think it turned out too badly in the end, if not for it looking a bit too handmade?

Pink Petticoat papers were used 'Lola's Occasions' and Lola's Boudoir along with watercolour pencils and a teeny amount of stickles glitter glue....ahem!

Card Samples (+ 8x8) - Adornit

Have had these on file for some time, but have not got round to posting them until now.
Thought I might share them with you all.

I love the papers and products used for these cards. Papers used are Adornit along with some die cuts & cardstock stickers & the jumbo clip - also from Adornit.
I think the other items are ages old from my stash that really needs organising, but I know me, like that's ever going to happen! LOL!
I am going to try something totally different for me over the next few days, I seem to be quite understated & subdued with my colour choices lately........so I am off to ponder upon some ideas!
One day I will also get to grips with all this linking business and start to help others ;)

OOoops! Almost forgot there is an 8x8 page I attempted, my first to be exact, I still think my photography skills need improving on & definitely need more practice when it comes to scrapbooking. Products are again - Adornit and DCWV cardstock.

Better late than never!

I really am a terrible blogger, I have'nt shown my face for ages.

Apart from being 'Skatty' I am also very sporadic with my daily dabblings & doings, curtesy of an illness that occasionally turns my brain & body to mush, so I apologise for my recent absence & any future ones! (I have a tendency to be distracted easily & quite often I suddenly find myself having to prioritise.)

My daughter had a birthday back in October, she loves bugs & nature, so I just had to get out the Pink Petticoat products again....any excuse!

This card was fairly straight-forward.

I used doodleicious paper designs & images from Pink Petticoat

Black cardstock, black satin ribbon, woodware scallop punch & stickles in gold.

Aswell as the card I also made a box to put a console game in..... Do you think she'd have guessed what was in it?
Just an afterthought, I love doing kid's cards, they really appreciate handmade cards & I have received plenty of hugs & lovely comments from them.

A Special Occasion & A 'Rescued' Card

2 more cards to show today.

The first was made for my parents ruby wedding anniversary - 40 years married, I am amazed at the years that have flown by, time goes way too quickly these days.

Pink petticoat Sentiments & Big bloomers papers & monograms for this one, some sizzlits diecut hearts, flatback crystals & craftwork cards cardstock (stardust red, I think)

The second card is what I name as a 'rescued' card, that is one that has been saved from the waste paper bin. First I trimmed my image incorrectly, all wonky, so it was trimmed down even more & the scalloped edge was added, then the dreaded ink smudge happened so I made a deliberate 'grunge' smudged edge, I wasn't keen at first, but it's growing on me.

Pink petticoat (again :) 'Christmas doodleicious' and a silver gel pen, silver cord and watercolour pencils with a teeny bit of 3D glitter glue & 3D clear gloss.

Mono Mania

I had a 'flurry' of creative activity the other day when I dug out a kit I had purchased from Craftwork Cards.
Most were enhanced again with Pink Petticoat images/papers/sentiments.
Hero arts fanciful filaments stamps were used on a couple too

I quite often get stuck for inspiration so I was quite impressed with myself when I managed 5 cards in a monochromatic theme.

My First Post.

I have recently discovered pink petticoat - love their products :)
This card was fairly quick & easy to make.
As well as products from pink petticoat, I used a big, black brad from a dovecraft embellishment pack & a couple of brads from Queen & Co. Ooooh! I almost forgot I used a glue pen & some crystal glitter by stampendous just to give the top bloom a little 'lift'
